Third Nature Presents a Regenerative Masterplan for Greater Copenhagen

Danish architecture firm Third Nature recently shared images of Øhjem, their proposed strategic vision for the re-naturalization of Denmark's Greater Copenhagen region toward 2050. The regenerative plan is part of the Water's Ways program under the Agenda Earth initiative, an interdisciplinary project run by the Danish Association of Architects in collaboration with the Dreyers Foundation and the Danish Bar Association. Led by urbanist Boris Brorman Jensen, the program calls for long-term solutions to restore 15% of Danish agricultural land while also protecting 600,000 homes from water-related threats. Third Nature's Øhjem masterplan reimagines the 25 km Ramsø Dale as a step toward implementing the land management objectives outlined in the Danish Green Tripartite Agreement (Grøn Trepart), signed in June 2024.

Third Nature Designs Regenerative City Plan for Bergen, Norway

Danish architecture firm TREDJE NATUR has designed a new 40-hectare regenerative masterplan for Bergen, Norway. The grand vision aim to bring new life to an old logistics port and ferry terminal. The plan outlines a zero-emission district focused on a community-based sharing economy, renewable building materials and climate adaptation strategies. The proposal emphasizes Bergen’s relation to the fjord, nature and history.

Third Nature Creates Conical Cabins for Adventure Park in Japan

Danish architects Third Nature have designed a new proposal for a regenerative tourism site in Japan. Called Nordisk Hygge Circles - Ugakei, the project was completed with Japanese engineers Structured Environment and sustainability experts Henrik Innovation. The new adventure park consists of cabins and glamping tents, a camping area along the estuary, and a learning area to encourage activities in nature.

Climate Tile Designed to Catch and Redirect Excess Rainwater From Climate Change

The Climate Tile is a pilot project designed to catch and redirect 30% of the projected extra rainwater coming due to climate change. Created by THIRD NATURE with IBF and ACO Nordic, the project will be inaugurated on a 50m pavement stretch at Nørrebro in Copenhagen. The first sidewalk was created as an innovative climate project that utilizes the Climate Tile to create a beautiful and adaptable cityscape. Aimed at densely populated cities, the tile handles water through a technical system that treats water as a valuable resource.
